A Greek resident in Mytilini was fined for 500 euro because his dog was barking and annoying the other residents in the neighbourhood. He says the dog is his best guard, and also the neighbourhood's best guard. The dog lives in a store that the resident owns, and one neighbour reported to the police that the dog is barking in the middle of night and he is annoyed by that.
The resident said his dog won't bark unless there is danger or of course, if it is annoyed.
The fine was increased due to the fact the neighbour doesn't like animals due to allergy to animals and the dog was scaring him.
