Groups of Lebanese demonstrators carried out systematic smash operations, Friday evening / - of shops in the vicinity of Riyadh Al-Solh district in the center of the capital, Beirut, and a short distance from the government headquarters (the government headquarters) and set fire to their contents inside.
Masked persons grabbed the doors and steel fronts of the shops, then deliberately shattered the glass facades of these stores using sticks, stones, and iron tools, entering these stores and completely destroying their contents, setting fire to some of them using flaming packages.
Social media pioneers circulated some video showing demonstrators setting fire to shops.
The flames rose in some shops significantly and devoured all their contents, while roaming a large number of motorcycles traveling in the people of downtown Beirut, and it seemed that they support the operations of smashing and burning the shops.
The crowd also set fire to rubber tires in the middle of the roads in the Riad El-Solh Square, as well as to garbage bins in the area, and threw stones and iron at the top floors of the buildings under the shops.
On the other hand, a number of Lebanese regions witnessed road and street cuts in the context of demonstrations and marches that erupted from yesterday evening, in protest against the great deterioration in economic and living conditions and the rise in the exchange rate of the dollar against the Lebanese pound.
